You know someone…someone who has experienced tragedy, hardship, loss. Someone who is struggling to make ends meet, who is raising their kids alone, who is working multiple jobs to put food on the table for their family in this economy. Someone who volunteers selflessly, despite their personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season…someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty. You know someone like this…I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are and I want to give them a chance to experience complimentary custom photography. It’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season. The best part? The person who nominates the winner will receive a special gift to show my appreciation…what better reason to show some love could there possibly be?

The rules:
* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as a sincere financial need ;) )

* The nominee must reside in the Austin area or suburbs. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

* You must e-mail me the full story: libbyann@gmail.com. Nominations are due by December 20th.

The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve…get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries :) Open your hearts to someone this holiday season. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to open mine.

Giving is Awesome is a national photography movement…find someone in your area!

My amazing parents met Greg and I totally last minute to get some family shots for our Christmas cards. I’m keeping the “official” photo under wraps, but I love, love, love these. It’s nice to have some pictures of us on my computer for a change :) My dad’s not too bad with a camera, is he? Maybe that’s where I get it from ;)

I tried really hard to narrow down this sneak peek. Really, really hard. And I just couldn’t! I’m loving all of these images…and the gorgeous subjects don’t help my photo-overload problem at all! I met up with Erin, Mark, and Connor this evening and we had an awesome little session with some yummy light. Connor is exactly two months younger than Will and he could give Will a run for his money with all the expressions he makes! He’s absolutely adorable.

Erin and Mark, thanks for hanging out with me tonight! Enjoy your sneak peek :)

I met up with the K family (very early) this morning and it was totally gorgeous outside. It seems like the trees have finally gotten the memo that it’s fall and there were lots of yellow and orange leaves flying around. So pretty! Their youngest is about a month older than Will and it’s so funny to see so many similarities in their development.

K family, thanks for meeting up with me this morning! I had a great time :) Enjoy your sneak peek!

I finally got to meet Ella today at 10 days new. She was a photographers dream to work with…Once we got her toasty with a full belly she sacked out and didn’t hardly make a peep for the rest of her photographic debut! I’ve known her family for quite some time and have been so excited to meet her! She has two very protective big sisters and a handsome big brother…she’s definitely going to be spoiled :)

Christie and Cary, thanks so much for letting me come take some pictures of Ella today…she’s gorgeous! Congratulations :) Enjoy your sneak peek!

Will and I had an impromptu photo shoot in his room today. I realized we hadn’t done a Mr. Bear picture in a loooong time and I can feel the beginnings of a tooth popping through his gums. I decided we needed to get lots of gummy smiling pictures so I can remember this stage later when he’s got a mouth-full of teeth. I also hadn’t gotten a workout in today, and taking pictures of him requires me to run and jump and act silly…I was out of breath by the end of it! :) I’ve been wanting to get some pictures of him in just jeans for awhile and I love all these…sorry in advance for the photo-overload! :) I’m pretty proud of our little man! We’re for-real crawling now…it goes too fast! 32 weeks old. :) :( Bittersweet.

Can you believe the bear was ever bigger than him?

I’m sure those teeth are going to be through to the surface any day now!

I met up with these adorable cousins and their parents yesterday. Oh my gosh, what personalities they all had! I have some of the funniest outtakes from the littlest one. I had her convinced that Dora lived in my camera…and boy was she trying her hardest to find Dora’s “tiny house!” It was precious :)

S family, thanks for being so flexible with the location, the time, and everything about yesterday. We got some fabulous pictures and I love looking at all these cute faces while I’m editing! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Here are a few more from Zach’s session yesterday…I had so much fun at this session! Loved the cool weather, the leaves that are (finally) changing, the parking garage, and all this kid’s awesome photo ideas. We had such a wonderful time and I took way, way too many pictures. ;)

Enjoy your sneak peek, Zach!

Ironic, huh? On the cell phone in front of the pay-phone that didn’t actually have a phone in it!
