I finally got the chance to meet Cullen yesterday and I was so excited to spend the afternoon with him! His parents are awesome and let me set up my stuff outside. Sweltering heat+newborns=awesome pictures! The light was beautiful and Cullen cooperated so well for us!

H family, thank you guys so much for letting me photograph your sweet little boy. He is so sweet and handsome and I am really looking forward to watching him grow over the next year! Enjoy your sneak peek!

I met up with the C family tonight for our third attempt at a family session…everything aligned for us and we had a great time, despite the scorching heat! Braxton finally showed off his adorable smile, complete with some giggles and squeals. Those giggles and squeals are totally the best part about 7 month-olds in my opinion!

Tim and Kristin, it’s been so great getting to know your family. Enjoy your sneak peek!

I spent Sunday afternoon photographing this sweet little boy’s first birthday party. The circus-themed decor was out of this world and lucky little Cullen had a table full of presents waiting to be torn into! The party was so much fun and let me just say, that little boy is loved. :) It was so sweet to see all the family and friends that traveled to Austin to celebrate his first year of life with his mommy and daddy. All the hugs and smiles and excitement over this little guy really warmed my heart!

Happy birthday, Cullen! Enjoy your sneak peek, J family :)

I was blessed with the opportunity to photograph sweet little Ella yesterday afternoon on her eighth day of life! She gave me a little run for my money – she was perfectly happy being awake and did not want to go to sleep! But she finally gave in after lots of milk, a tight swaddle, and some rocking. I adore her full head of brown hair! And I’m slightly jealous that her mommy gets to have fun with pigtails and bows and ribbons! :)

Congratulations Wade and Dana! Your daughter is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for letting me photograph her and enjoy your sneak peek!

I met up with Steven, Charlotte, and Ava this morning in Round Rock Memorial Park and had such a wonderful time taking some lifestyle family pictures for them! Charlotte contacted me before we left for our cruise wanting to get some family pictures taken before Steven deploys to Iraq…I’ve been really looking forward to this session! I don’t think I’ve shared too much about it here, but my brother is getting ready to enlist in the Navy with hopes to become a Navy Seal. I’m so proud of him and proud to say that he’ll be serving our country. Though I’m a bit new to the whole scene, I am so honored to meet this amazing family who is making daily sacrifices to serve our country. It’s because of their selfless acts that we can live the lives that we live and I’m so, so thankful for men and women like Steven who choose this path for their life.

We couldn’t have had a better session…well, actually, we could have if Ava wouldn’t have been so stingy with kisses ;) I got home and immediately downloaded all the pictures and started culling through them picking favorites for the blog. I ended up with 16 must show favorites at the end of that! I managed to get those down to a more reasonable 6 to show, but I can’t wait until their session comes up in line to edit fully. So much love and fun in these images!

Steven and Charlotte, thanks so much for spending the morning with me. I hope you found a Taco Cabana on your way home and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

I love the look of joy on Charlotte’s face in this one! So sweet :)

Another favorite here too…Ava is such a sweetheart! I can’t get enough of her red hair!

Okay, who am I kidding…these are all favorites. But I especially love this one :)

My good friend Shelby and her husband Kasey finally had their baby boy, Asher. I’ve been anticipating this little guy’s arrival for just about nine months and I’m so, so glad he’s here! Of course he made his arrival while I was gone on the cruise, so I didn’t get to meet him until he was six days old. I came over to their house in Round Rock to take his newborn pictures and my goodness, is he cute or what?! I can’t decide who he looks more like, but he’s definitely handsome! He was such a good little guy for our session…I feel like I say that for just about every newborn I have, but I’m so lucky. They all behave very well for me! He was so laid back and slept great – he only started squawking at the end when he’d had enough of me playing with him! I have way too many favorites and not enough time, so I’m just posting two for tonight…I’m sure I’ll be back to post more soon!

Congratulations, Shelby and Kasey! I am so, so excited for you guys :)
