Archive for September, 2010

My boy turned one and a half yesterday. I don’t wanna talk about how he’s growing up. Or how he’s turning into a handsome little boy more and more each second. We celebrated the day by taking a jog with the dogs (ha! picture me+jogging stroller+25 lb. toddler+2 mini dachshunds running. Now that was a funny sight!) and playing for a LONG time at the playground. We came home for some snuggles on the couch while watching “me-eor” (Meteor the Monster Truck) and followed that up by a three (3!!) hour nap in mama’s bed. All in all, it was a fantastic day.

But can someone please explain to me how my tiny little baby got to be so gosh darn BIG? *sigh* I never understood just how quickly time goes by until he made me a Mommy.

My baby. My sweet, sweet snuggly baby. You are growing up too quickly. But I am ever so proud of you and your love of all the little things. And no matter how big you get, you will always be my baby.

More about him turning one and a half years old will be on my personal blog later tonight :)

I am so bad about coming back to share sessions once I’ve gotten the galleries up…I’m usually just barely keeping up with my editing. But I want to share more of my beautiful clients and their families! So I’m making a conscious effort to go back through my sessions this summer and share them over the next few weeks.

First up is sweet little Wyatt. I did his session right before we left on our cruise in July when he was just 13 days old. The prints, albums and announcements his mama ordered have long since been delivered, but I just had to come back and share some more of this sweet little peanut!

As promised, here are some more shots from Salicca and Joey’s awesome Austin wedding at The Plantation House. Their ceremony was so beautiful. Salicca has two children and they incorporated them into the intimate gathering so beautifully.

Congrats again you two :)

MC caught this beautiful shot of Salicca peeking out the window before their ceremony started. Such a gorgeous bride!

Another fantastic capture by MC!

I got to spend yesterday morning snuggling and photographing sweet little newborn Carson…it was wonderful! As soon as I lugged all my gear through the door, his proud Daddy passed him off to me. I totally love it when my clients are confident enough in my baby-soothing skills to let me take over from the get go! :) After a quick tour around their house, we all decided that the light was best outside under their covered patio. I absolutely love Texas for the fact that it’s mid-September and I can still shoot my newborns outside! Carson was such a good little trooper and saved all his peeing for the very end of our session ;)

Congratulations Elise and Robert! Your brand new little boy is absolutely precious. Enjoy your sneak peek!

I love tiny pink feet and toes!

Is anyone else having a hard time believing that not only is it September, but it’s MID-September?! I sure am. I was going through my calendar tonight doing some schedule checking and noticed that next Thursday is the first day of autumn. Autumn, people! We are nearing the end of the summer time!! And though the weather hasn’t taken the hint from the calendar, soon the leaves will be changing and the mornings will get a little cooler…and before we know it we’ll be full on fall. I can’t wait :D Fall is totally my favorite season of the year, from the colors on the trees to the Halloween decorations to the Thanksgiving turkey. Love it all!

I still have some availability this fall for your sessions…if you haven’t booked your family portrait session for your Christmas cards, you should ASAP because I’m starting to book up quickly! As of right now, this is what my schedule looks like:

September – Full. Newborn availability only for the rest of the month.
October – I still have a 9:00am opening for my mini sessions on the 9th. I have availability for 3 classic sessions and 1 mini session.
November – 2 classic sessions and 2 mini sessions available. Any orders needed in time for Christmas must be placed and paid for by November 25th.
December – 2 classic sessions available. Libby Ann Photography will be closed December 12th – January 7th except for the case of already booked newborns.

If you’re interested in booking a session, please click on the “contact me” button above and send me an email. I can’t wait to capture beautiful portraits for you and your family to cherish for many years to come.

I’m so excited for the fall, but I’m even more excited for the new year. During the break, I’ll be making some big changes around here including getting new product samples for you! Current clients, be on the lookout for a survey in your mailbox in the next couple weeks. Fill it out and send it back for a chance to win a mini session!

And because I can’t post without a picture, here’s a sneak peek of sweet 14-day-old baby Carson who I got to photograph this morning. Lots more of Mr. Carson to come!

Please excuse the mess!

I will be revamping my blog over the weekend, so please excuse the mess…I’ll be back to regularly scheduled blogging next week with some fabulous sneak peeks and an all new blog design!

In the meantime, head on over to my new family blog to catch up on what we’ve been up to this summer :)

Despite having to re-locate at the last minute because our chosen location was flooded, this session was fantastic! Adorable kiddos, ducks, and a gorgeous late summer morning…what more can you ask for? It was so much fun to hang out with this beautiful family that is getting ready to grow – baby #3 is due in November! Can’t wait to meet her :)

A family, enjoy your sneak peek! Lots of cute family shots, but I’m keeping those under wraps in case you want to use them for Christmas cards! :)

I had the pleasure of photographing Salicca and Joey’s wedding last Sunday. It was absolutely gorgeous. I loved all the turquoise details and of course The Plantation House never disappoints! I’ve got way too many favorite images, so their sneak peek is going to come in installments. First up are the details and getting ready shots. Huge thanks to my assistant, MC, for helping out with this one!

Congrats Salicca and Joey…enjoy the first part of your sneak peek!

I love this shot MC captured…aren’t the details on Salicca’s dress gorgeous?

Another great shot by MC on the right…Salicca’s beautiful daughter!

And because I can’t help myself…a preview of what’s to come later this week! I *love* this shot of the two of them!
