I’ve known Deanna and Bill for years. When we moved to Austin, I was in 6th grade and I think we met them shortly after that. I babysat both of their girls, Rachel and Samantha. It really doesn’t seem like all that long ago, to be honest! Funny story time…once when I was babysitting, I fell asleep on their couch after the girls had gone to bed. I can’t remember what I’d done earlier that day, but I was exhausted! Fast forward about 3 hours, I wake up to someone pounding on the window outside the couch. I FREAKED – I just knew someone was trying to break in and rob their house and in that just-awoken sleep haze, I pretty much panicked. I grabbed their phone and ran into the laundry room and hid – you know, because that’s logical and all! I called my dad (why I didn’t call 911, I have no idea) and he got in touch with Bill and Deanna…because I of course couldn’t run to the fridge and find the number they’d left because the robbers might see me! They said they had forgotten their key and couldn’t get into the house. They were the robbers pounding on the window next to the couch ;) Good times, good times!

Samantha is getting into modeling, so Bill sent me a Facebook message to set up a session for her comp cards. I can’t believe how beautiful and grown up Samantha is now! I mean, wasn’t it just last week that I was hiding out in Bill and Deanna’s laundry room? ;)

It was so great to see you all again and I’m so excited about Samantha’s pictures…I think you’re going to love them! Thanks for trusting me to take care of your baby all those years ago and again today with her modeling pictures. Enjoy your sneak peek!

In just a couple weeks, Libby Ann Photography will celebrate two years in business! I can’t believe it’s been that long – it feels like just yesterday I was filling out all the paperwork to get my business licensed and all the legal stuff squared away. In those two years, I’ve met some fantastic people, taken a whole lot of pictures and created lots of fun memories. To celebrate this milestone, I’m going to be giving back to my wonderful clients who have trusted me to be their photographer. How? I’m going to hold a Facebook contest!

The details:
I’ve uploaded a gallery of a favorite picture of mine from every single client I’ve worked with. Some of you have held multiple sessions with me, however I just picked one picture from all of your sessions. These images are uploaded into an album called “Anniversary Photo Contest.” To win, you need to have the most number of “likes” on your photo in the album. Super simple!

The photos are loaded in alphabetical order by last name, so just locate your photo in the album. You can tag yourself if you’d like, share the album with your friends, solicit “likes” through email, message boards – whatever you like! I know some people have moved since their session and if you’d like to participate, you’re more than welcome. You can either come back down to Austin to claim your prize or gift it to a friend/family member who lives within travel distance of Austin.

To “like” your photo, the person must first “like” Libby Ann Photography on Facebook. If you’d like to share the contest on your profile page, you can link to this blog post or click the “Share this Album” link at the bottom of the Anniversary Photo Contest album. If you have any questions about how to do this, just email me – I’d be more than happy to help you out! :)

What will you win?
A Signature Session + all the edited digital files from your session!

Rules:
- Contest ends 3/29/11 at 7:30pm CST.
- “Likes” must be on the PHOTO itself. They will not count if they are on the photo album or a post on the wall.

- Session must be held before 12/31/11 and must be held within 15 miles of the 78665 zip code.
- Winner must sign a model release and contract to be eligible.

I first met Carson about 6 months ago at his newborn session. He was oh-so-adorable, but still cool in his pirate hat that his mama bought off of Etsy. His 6 month session was no different! He rocked baby Vans and an Ed Hardy onesie. He was a little stingy with the smiles, but we manage to snag some adorable shots that I just love!

Elise and Robert, thanks for driving all the way up to Round Rock yesterday for Carson’s session! I think you’re going to be really happy with the pictures we got! Enjoy your sneak peek :)

This wonderful husband and father bought his wife a Simple Session for her birthday…what better gift could you ask for than that?! I had such a blast yesterday afternoon at their home capturing their family in their own environment. Little Steven was full of huge smiles and was a total flirt! His one year birthday is coming up in just a couple weeks and he is acting like a true one year old – curious about everything and full of energy!

Shelly and Craig, thank you so much for letting me photograph your beautiful family. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Yesterday I got to meet Amanda and Cody, my mini-session giveaway winners! I had so much fun chatting with them and getting to know them! They have such a sweet connection and were willing to do whatever I asked of them. Congratulations on winning the contest! I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek :)

I am so excited about spring mini sessions this year! I announced it on my Facebook Fan Page a few days ago (one perk of being a fan is that you get updates before they hit the blog) and I’ve already booked quite a few sessions. One thing I’m doing this year that is a little bit different than years past is that if you would like to pre-purchase all the digital files from your session, you may do so at the time of booking for $200! Typically all the files from your mini session it would cost $500, so I don’t need to tell you how awesome this deal is :)

The first date coming up in just a few weeks is held at one of my new favorite parks, Katherine Fleischer Park. It has some great photo op locations there and a fantastic playground if you end up wanting to stay for a bit after your session! If there are no bluebonnets on April 2nd, this will also be the location of the April 2nd mini sessions. On April 10th, we’ll be heading to downtown Georgetown for some fun with modern architecture and bold colors. Both of the recent maternity sessions featured on my blog were photographed in downtown Georgetown – it’s so much fun! Finally, we’ll be down in Central Austin at Mayfield Park for the last of the mini sessions. If you haven’t been down there, you should definitely go! It’s a classic Austin location for pictures and is gorgeous with ponds full of fish, peacocks, gorgeous stone walls, and flowers. This session was held last summer in Mayfield Park.

You really can’t go wrong with any of the locations! The session times that are still available are:

March 26 – 3:30pm, 4:00pm, 4:30pm, 5:00pm
April 2 - 8:00am, 8:30am, 9:00am
April 10 – 4:30pm, 6:00pm
April 16 -8:00am, 8:30am, 9:00am, 9:30am

Please take a second to share these awesome mini-sessions with friends and family. As always, if you refer someone to me who ends up booking a session, you’ll receive a $50 credit to use toward a future session or prints and the friend you refer will receive a free 8×10 from their session…so you could wind up getting your session + some prints for free just by referring a friend! If you’re interested in a session, please email me at libbyann@gmail.com and I’ll send you more information on the discounted mini-session pricing, information on the locations, and walk you through booking a session.

About a year ago, I photographed this sweet family. It’s hard for me to believe that little Ali was just 6 months old then…boy time does fly! In just a few months, this family is going to grow again…Alina is going to become a big sister to a brand new baby brother. She was a bit more shy with the smiles than she was last time, but still incredibly attached to daddy. That seems to be a trend with the little girls I’ve been photographing lately :) Kelly is gorgeous, as always, and seems thrilled to about to be a mom of two little ones.

C Family, thanks so much for letting me photograph your family Sunday! It was a joy :) Enjoy your sneak peek!
