Archive for August, 2011

This fall is shaping up to be a crazy, busy, exciting time! I’m thrilled with all the sessions I have coming up (and still have a couple more session openings, if you’re waiting to book!). In an effort to keep a better balance on my life this holiday season, I’m going to be trying to adhere to the following office hours:

Tuesday – Friday: 1:00 – 4:00pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 6:00pm – 10:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Sunday & Monday: Closed

I’ll be conducting sessions as usual on Saturdays and Sundays, but trying to keep myself away from my email unless it’s a scheduled work time so I can help myself find balance in this intense season. Hope you guys are enjoying the last few weeks of hot weather and have gotten off to a great start to your 2011-2012 school year! I can’t wait to see all my favorite families again this fall!

And since I can’t post without a picture – an oldie but a goodie of my boy…so peaceful while he sleeps!

I’ve been photographing Dax since he was just a few days old and I have so many great memories of this sweet family! This past Saturday was no exception to that – Dax has grown up into one of the most adorable two-year-olds ever…he has awesome hair and the personality to go along with it! We had so much fun at his session, with the help of a pack of Annie’s gummy bunnies that we stretched out until the very end ;) Lynda and Mike, it was so great to see you guys again! Hope you enjoy your images as much as I do – you guys are so fun!

First of all, I have to say a huge thank you to all my clients, but especially to this family, for being so patient with me over the past week. I’ve had a very sick little boy at home and all of my attention has gone to getting him well. Thankfully he is starting to feel much better, his fever has broken, and he’s back to his normal happy self! I apologize for all the delayed emails and to the M family for your (very) delayed sneak peek!

Last Sunday, I got to meet Mr. Carson on his fifth day of life. He was the poster child for the perfect newborn model – he slept, hardly fussed, and went right back to sleep with a little rocking and shushing. I adored all his cute faces and sweet little newborn noises! Thank you Sarah and Dave for letting me photograph your beautiful little boy. Enjoy him while he’s tiny!!

Summer is rounding the corner (or at least I hope it is) and the kiddos will soon be heading back to school. With that comes high school football games (my very best memories from high school!), cute kiddos in costumes, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas! We had family in town last week and Friday morning we ate at the fantastic Monument Cafe in Georgetown and then took a stroll around the Square…we went into one shop and they already had Christmas ornaments and decorations out…it warms my heart! :) Fall is by far my favorite time of the year and this fall is sure not to disappoint!

My schedule has already filled up and I have very limited spaces for fall/winter sessions left! If you are interested in booking a session for holiday cards or gifts, please contact me as soon as possible.  I’ll be opening up booking for 2012 in December and if you’re interested in getting on the calendar, please book early! We have some exciting changes happening in our family and I will be taking on limited sessions in 2012. If you’re still wanting a fall session with me, this is what’s available.

  • September: 2 Signature Sessions
  • October: No sessions available
  • November: 1 Signature Session
  • December: 2 Signature Sessions

Happy Monday to everyone! Enjoy your loved ones this week…I know I will be!
