newborn baby girl in round rock

I got to meet sweet Zoe on her 8th day of life last Saturday and she rocked her newborn session. She is one of the most beautiful newborns I’ve ever met – she had such delicate, girly features and the longest eyelashes I’ve ever seen! It was such a treat to meet her and spend the afternoon snuggling her and posing her. Nye and Rachel, thank you so much for trusting me with your little angel! Enjoy her while she is still tiny :)

Aden certainly made us work for the smiles on Saturday morning, but I’m happy to say that we got so many wonderful shots of him I had a hard time narrowing them down for their blog sneak peek! Aden is two days older than my little guy, and he is so so TALL! I couldn’t believe how much he’d grown since the last time I saw him…he’s much more mobile now too ;) If I had to pick one thing that I love about photography most, it would definitely be the ability to preserve moments in time…moments like when Aden was a sweet, cuddly baby and moments like now, when he’s an independent, fast, and fun toddler. Hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek!!

I met Heather what seems like forever ago through our church…she’s graduating from Texas A&M this December and I was so excited when she contacted me to get in on a mini session for graduation pictures! Her sweet boyfriend, Clay, came along to get some too and I managed to convince them to take a few together as well :) Hope y’all enjoy your sneak peek!!

Katie wins the award this year for the happiest baby I’ve photographed! She was all smiles from the time I met her and her parents in the parking lot until we walked out at the end of our session. She made my job easy! And the eyes…oh my goodness, her eyes are to die for. Such a beautiful baby girl! Sweet girl was just learning how to sit up and kept getting a little too excited to keep from toppling over…so mom had to help out in the balance department ;) We got some fantastic family shots as well, but I’m keeping those under wraps in case they make an appearance on some holiday cards! :) Enjoy your sneak peek, A family!

Yesterday I had my first set of fall mini sessions and they were fantastic! You can be expecting blog posts over the next few days filled with beautiful images of gorgeous families…so fun! First up is a family that I was so excited to see again! I took Maddie’s pictures for her first birthday, almost a year ago and I was thrilled when her dad contacted me to do a family shoot for both kiddos this time! The light was absolutely gorgeous Saturday morning at Mayfield Park. I had fun with some backlighting, which I love and then we moved to a more shaded area where the light was streaming through the leaves of the trees. The weather yesterday was gorgeous – we’re finally getting a bit of a taste of fall! I hope you guys enjoy these as much as I am!!

Carson is one of my favorite little clients…his mommy always dresses him in the cutest outfits and even if he does try to hide his smiles from the camera, he’s still absolutely adorable! He rocked the pirate hat during his newborn session. He rocked the Ed Hardy onesie and hat at his six month session. His one-year session Sunday was no exception. Because:

a) Who can resist a baby in cowboy boots?
b) Who can resist a baby in a cowboy hat?
c) Who can resist a baby in a jeans diaper?
d) Who can resist a baby in a cowboy hat AND cowboy boots AND a jeans diaper?

Certainly not me! I had the hardest time narrowing down his sneak peek because they’re all too darn cute…Elise and Robert, enjoy your sneak peek!!

I was so, so glad I was able to fit in little Hudson’s newborn session this past weekend! He was born a few weeks early and was the perfect newborn for me – my blankets stayed relatively clean and he didn’t open his eyes until the very end of our session. It’s so fun to watch my client’s families grow…I photographed the C family a couple years ago and big brother Keegan has grown up so much since then! He was so excited that he got to hold Hudson “without the pillow” and was so sweet to his new baby brother.

This past weekend officially kicked off the start to my busy fall! I have more sessions coming up than I was planning on and I’m super excited about getting creative with some awesome Austin families this fall!

I’ve known Donna through my mom for quite a long time. They teach together in Round Rock and I was so excited when she contacted me about setting up a session for her beautiful family back in June for her 25th anniversary present…what a great present! :) We both thought (and were hoping) it would be a whole lot cooler than 105*, but despite the crazy heat, we still had a great time! Their family is a “house divided” – divided between the Nebraska Huskers, the Texas Longhorns and the A&M Aggies! We got all the Christmas card photos out of the way in the beginning and then took a little time to play some football – fun!!

Donna and CJ, it was so great to see you guys! Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
