Mine. Oh, how I love him! And I love this age. It’s not without it’s challenges, of course…but oh, how I love the stories. The giggles. The matchbox cars. The ‘mommy, hold you?’s.  The kisses goodnight. The innocence. The ‘Jesus Loves Me’ every night before bed. The wanting to be just like Daddy. The huge cheesy smile for the camera. The wonder at the ordinary…I wish I could bottle it all up to open up whenever I need a smile.

Little man, my cup runneth over.

One of my business resolutions for 2012 was to share more pictures. I’m really good about blogging sneak peeks…sometimes I’m a few days behind, but I always get them up. But I hardly ever get around to sharing all my favorite images from my signature sessions. So I’ve built it into my workflow – images don’t get moved off my hard drive until I’ve blogged them. And you guys, my hard drive is getting embarrassingly full…so it’s time to share!

I’ve been photographing Lily since she was 2 weeks old and her family has grown very dear to me. I get giddy the weeks leading up to our sessions because I know I’m going to have so much fun and come home with way (way) too many pictures that I love too much to get rid of. Her two-year session this year was no exception! We did a very last minute themed shoot inspired from some images I found on Pinterest. My wonderful dad came over with his power tools and built me a tent (because I was banned from using any sharp objects after cutting off a good chunk of my thumb over New Year’s), Kristina gathered all kinds of pillows, blankets, and books, and we prayed for nice weather. It was a little chilly, but the light was divine and we had a fantastic time.

As always, their session will go down as one of my favorites for the year!

Zoey set the record for the youngest newborn I’ve photographed yet. She was born at home and got to spend her first few days on Earth in a house filled with relatives to love on her! I loved how tiny and delicate all her features were, although it did make it hard to get headbands to stay on her petite little head! Congratulations Eric and Erica! Thank you so much for trusting me to photograph your sweet little baby :)

Sweet little Gavin is all grown up now! Okay, well maybe not “all grown up,” but he’s certainly grown since I last saw him as a newborn. I love getting to watch tiny little newborns grow into laughing babies and Gavin is no exception! I’m so glad that I got to meet the rest of his family too – we all had so much fun laughing and joking around at their session at Mayfield Park…another photographer even remarked about how much fun it looked like we were having! Thank you all for coming out in the chilly weather – I had a great time with you guys! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Kate is my little guy’s best friend – we have at least one play date together every week and he asks if “we are gonna see Kate” nearly every day! You can read more about Kate’s adventures on her blog – Christina always does the coolest activities with her!

I was so excited to finally get to do her pictures after having to reschedule this past fall. I loved taking Kate’s pictures this time around because I’ve gotten to know her pretty well over the past half a year – she was completely herself at the session (not that the girl knows how to be shy! :) ) I also loved that since I’m good friends with her mommy, I don’t feel the slightest bit weird asking them to sit on the ground in the middle of the street – Christina totally gets it! :) Enjoy your sneak peek, Christina and Michael!
