Sarah and I went to high school together and have loosely kept in touch through Facebook over the years. Several months back she contacted me to tell me that she’d recently gotten engaged and asked if I’d be up for photographing her wedding…I was super excited and of course said I would! We met up this morning at the Capitol to take engagement pictures…this session has been a long time coming and thankfully the weather cooperated with us this morning (finally)! I can’t wait for their wedding this fall at Angel Springs.

Sarah and Jason, thanks so much for enduring the heat and humidity this morning! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Are you ready for a whole ton of sneak peeks? If so, stick around. I’ve got 5 coming to you from my shoots this weekend!

I met up with this sweet family for one of my SoCo mini-sessions yesterday. We had so much fun (even though it was rather hot!) getting some sweet shots of these twin sisters and their family. Beth and Josiah are getting married in June and I can’t wait for their wedding…I hear that there are a lot of fun things going on and it should be a blast!

Enjoy your sneak peek!

–FYI, I’ll probably write a short novel. Feel free to skip down to the pictures at the end :)

I’ve known the Smiths for just about a year now. Donnie is our pastor at church and he came and visited us in the hospital the day after Will was born. Awesome, huh? It’s even more awesome if you know that Greg and I had never even met Donnie before! Let me back up a bit…the church Greg and I had been attending, a small plant church, had ended up closing at the end of November. We church shopped for a bit, but by February I was huge and pregnant and wanted nothing to do with trying out new churches every weekend. If you’ve never done that before, it’s completely exhausting. So we decided to pick up our search again after Will was born. Meanwhile, the church my parents had been attending hired a new pastor (Donnie) and my mom began raving about him. If you know my mom, you know that she’s a bit dramatic (sorry, mom, you are! :) ), but I could tell that there was something special about this new pastor-guy that she wouldn’t shut-up about. Fast forward to March 28th – I’m in the hospital and Will’s just been born and my mom tells me that Donnie is going to come visit us the next day. I though it was awesome and maybe a teensy bit weird that this pastor-guy that we’d never met before was going to come meet us for the first time in the hospital!

The next night (while I’m in bed and still haven’t really showered or brushed my hair or done anything but lay in bed because of my c-section – the picture of loveliness, I’m sure!), Donnie comes into our hospital room, oohs and awws over Will, talked with us like he’d known us for 15 years, and prayed the most sweet and sincere prayer over our new baby boy. The rest is pretty much history – we of course are attending The Fellowship Round Rock (amazing place, by the way, you should definitely check it out!) and we’ve become good friends with The Smiths.

We’ve been trying to get their session done for awhile now and it just hasn’t worked out. Of course tonight it is crazy windy outside and we only got about 30 minutes in before we called it quits and decided to try again next weekend…but I’m loving the images we got in those 30 minutes.

Donnie and Kristina, thanks so much for hanging out with me tonight and for being such awesome friends! Enjoy this little preview – I’m looking forward to the rest of our session! :)

This Mommy-to-be is absolutely glowing…she’s beautiful inside and out and I am so excited I got to capture her pregnancy for her! Their little girl is due in justĀ  a few short weeks and I know the parents-to-be have a lot to do to prepare for her arrival, but are also so ready to meet her. Heck, I am too! :) It was absolutely gorgeous weather out this evening, just another one of the long list of reasons why I love Texas. And I love love love their pictures. Yummy light, gorgeous couple – what more can you ask for?

Sarah and Michael, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! Good luck getting everything ready before your little girl makes her grand entrance. See you in a few weeks!

I met up with Laura and Brandon tonight at Mayfield Park. Laura was totally glowing and has the cutest pregnant belly ever! We got some great shots and the lighting was gorgeous – no thanks to me for not taking in Daylight Savings Time ending into account! :) They’re expecting they’re little Landon right around Christmas…what an awesome present, huh? I was telling them how much I loved the name Landon and Laura told me that they chose it because it’s both of their names put together. Isn’t that neat? I love names with a meaning behind them.

Laura and Brandon, thanks so much for meeting up with me tonight! I hope you enjoy your sneak peeks!

Isn’t Rolo just the best name for a chocolate lab? I love it! I met up with Melissa, Eric and Rolo this morning downtown and we had lots of laughs walking around South Congress. We got so many great images and I really had a hard time choosing for their sneak peeks. I think these are my three faves, but I’ll be sure to come back and share more.

Melissa and Eric, thanks so much for meeting me so early this morning…It was great to hang out!

I seriously love my job. I get to have fabulous conversations with people, laugh, and check out new gorgeous places in Austin. I couldn’t be more blessed! Amy and Chris live in the new Mueller Apartments in Austin and we went there first for their session. It is the coolest place! Almost made me want to move back into an apartment…almost ;) I had so much fun with these two and they had such an awesome connection. They were so fun to photograph!

Amy and Chris, thank you for being up for anything tonight. You guys are awesome! Enjoy your sneak peek.
