About Me

January 28, 2010

Hi! I’m Libby. I’ve loved photography for a long, long time, but I didn’t really start to devote time to learning it until my wedding in 2007. I hired a phenomenal photographer to shoot my wedding and later ended up working as an assistant for him. I realized then just how much fun it could be to hide out behind the lens capturing organic, real moments as they happened. I loved spending Saturday nights watching couples who were absolutely in love make promises to spend the rest of their lives with each other and I loved being able to capture glances, smiles, kisses, and tears on camera.

I started pursuing photography even more passionately after my son, Will, was born in March of 2009. Every moment with him seems to pass all too fast (a common theme that I talk about on my blog!) and I want to catch every detail of his life on camera. It may drive him and my husband, Greg, nuts, but it means the world to me to be able to look back and see pictures of his tiny newborn feet. Photographs have a magical way of transporting us back in time to the very day and moment they were taken. Looking back at pictures of Will when he was just minutes old, I remember the overwhelming love that I felt for this tiny person I’d just met. And looking back at pictures of my wedding, I remember the excitement and promise that the future held for Greg and me on that special, special day.

Photographs are priceless. Having your family professionally photographed just as they are today is something that you can’t put a value on. You’ll have those photographs to look back on many years later and reminisce back to the very day they were taken. Don’t let life get so busy that you forget to capture your family and memories in a tangible way that you’ll remember forever. Life is a gift and should be photographed!
