Jennifer and Nick have been anxiously awaiting on their baby girl’s arrival into the world…I tried not to bug Jennifer too much about whether Kate had come yet – I was so excited to meet her! Kate made her big debut just a couple days after her due date and I got to meet her when she was five days new. I just love how relaxed Nick and Jennifer are with her – they’re both naturals as parents! Kate loved her beauty sleep, but was not a big fan of being posed! So instead of forcing her to keep up the posing, we did a little bit of “lifestyle” type newborn shots at the end and I am absolutely in LOVE with them. There’s something about the simplicity of a white onesie, a wide-eyed baby girl, curly baby toes, and loving parents that just makes me smile.

I had so much fun playing with all her gorgeous dark hair and trying out all my tiny little headbands on her – they looked so precious with tons of hair underneath! I often get requests to take “House Divided” pictures of sweet babies in their parents rival Alma maters, but this pairing was a first for me
